X THE MEETING STORY
X THE PROPOSAL
Harry and I love Cornwall and spend a lot of time down there. So it was very fitting when one evening sat on the clifftop watching the sun go down with not another sole in sight. He got down on one knee and presented me with the most beautiful ring, and asked me to do the honour of growing old with him.
We didn’t really set a theme or stye when we started planning, we just wanted to make sure it was personal to us and our families. We used all local vendors and all the food was locally sourced from nearby farms. Harrys Mother made our wedding cake. Our wedding car was my Dads old Mini Moke he has had since he was 20. And we even managed to get the DJ who used to play at a bar we used to got to in Kingston when we first got together
X DRESS : The DOS Long Sleeve Lace Two Piece Wedding Dress “Gwen”
I was drawn to the “Gwen” long sleeve lace two piece wedding dress from the moment I saw it in the shop. The lace was amazingly delicate and went really nicely with my mothers veil (which was my something old). My mother teared up in the shop when she first saw me in Gwen, saying “it’s the one” and well mothers are always right!
X THE RING
Harry designed the ring himself, its amazing. It’s a black diamond with three little white diamonds on either side, set in a platinum band. He even designed the wedding band at the same time which interconnects with the engagement ring.
One of Harry’s favourite singers is Jonny Cash and mine is Bob Dylan. So when we discovered their cover version of ‘you are my sunshine’ a few years ago we knew it would be our first dance one day.
